Ryan’s own family can’t explain what he does for a living. His children simply think he talks all day (which is basically true) and his dad, a lifetime framer and craftsman, can’t believe he gets paid for not actually making anything with his hands.
But we know the tremendous value Ryan brings to the Compass team. He is part Compass ambassador and part defensive end, all while being a punching bag for both the team and the clients. And he takes it all in stride.
Ryan’s solid background in sales and marketing has made him integral in a role that brings our hard work to the client and their (often challenging) feedback back to us. Always ready with a listening ear, he clearly loves working with people. His positive attitude and empathetic approach help him provide exceptional client care that builds great client relationships and helps move businesses forward.
Ryan’s formal education was in Business Marketing at Mohawk College, but his path to Compass saw a range of on-the-ground experience over six years — including his family’s construction company. This variety has taught him much, and through it all you’ll find a pragmatic streak that aligns nicely with Compass Creative’s mantra “let’s get real.”
His great outlook on life undoubtedly has a lot to do with his lovely family. Ryan most enjoys spending his free time at home in Smithville with his wife, Melanie, and their four kids. His other loves, the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays, are a somewhat less constant source of pleasure.
