When Teri first arrived at Compass in the summer of 2018, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. We knew she was a hardworking small-town girl. We also knew that her dad runs an excavating and landscape supply business in the Quinte area, so she’d definitely be comfortable working with many of our clients. With a Graphic Design diploma from Algonquin College in her hand, Teri clearly also knew a thing or two about design. Within the first few weeks, we knew she was ready to teach us old dogs some new tricks!
It wasn’t long before we realized that Teri has a real creative flair. She’s got a knack for concept-driven design. She consistently takes what we give her and makes it even more beautiful. Brochures, logos, stationery, online ads, social media graphics — no matter the medium, Teri is comfortable in it. Add to this a surprising aptitude for foosball (owing to her college roommate’s table), and Teri has fit in real well at Compass.
In Teri’s words, her interests are “cliché designer hobbies” — also known as activities where she can incorporate creativity. These range from cooking, to drawing, to fashion, to music, to photography and to baking. Beyond that, she loves to spend as much time as she can outside. It’s no wonder her creative work is often spot on for our landscaping clients!
