In 2001, I moved out of my basement studio on Palmer Drive in Burlington to a spacious second-floor suite on the South Service Road.
It's been almost 20 years since we made that first bold move!
During that time, we moved again in 2013 to our office in Stoney Creek. And now we’re moving again.
This time, instead of moving into an office suite, we’re moving back into a house. Fortunately, it’s an entire house — not a small basement studio.
It seems we have a history of setting up shop on service roads right next to the QEW. (That’s the Queen Elizabeth Way, a major highway between Toronto and Niagara Falls, for you non-local readers.)
Our new home is a retired, two-storey farmhouse with an abundance of character. From our current location, it’s a quick five-minute drive down the service road on the outskirts of the sleepy (but growing) town of Grimsby. You might wonder how a red-brick farmhouse finds itself next to a bustling highway. Well, it helps to know that when it was built, the highway didn’t even exist yet.
Because of the uniqueness of the lot, the house is surrounded by lots of green space that’s perfect for holding outdoor events. As for inside the house, there’s plenty of space for a board room, enclosed and shared offices — and a full kitchen!
Some major renovations are currently underway, with our moving days scheduled for January 29 and 30. We plan to be officially moved in and open for business by February 1, 2021.
So what does this mean for you, whether client, colleague, friend or family member?
Business will continue running as usual with minimal disruptions to our services. There might be a few bumps until we’re settled in, so we appreciate your patience.
We’re hoping to one day host an open house when COVID-19 restrictions have eased.
Our new office address is:
251 Murray Street
Our phone number is remaining the same:
P. S. We have a couple of new team members that we’ll be introducing to you in the coming weeks. More on that soon!
