Is 2014 the year you plan to get serious about your IT?

It’s amazing how much technology we actually use these days. Especially in our businesses, technology allows us to automate tasks and measure, track and share all kinds of information, promising to make us better managers and more efficient operators. But who’s managing the systems behind the manager?

If you’re like most small business owners you’re likely trying to manage your IT department on your own and perhaps it’s leaving you feeling a little overwhelmed. Then again, if you’re a bit of a “techy” you might be feeling pretty confident that you’ve got things under control when actually your systems, software and data are one power surge away from catastrophic failure.

For many years we relied on one of our teammates as the resident IT person to keep us up and running, up to date and out of danger. He was so good at it and so good about our endless requests that we didn’t realize how much we took him for granted and how much of his time we were actually demanding. (Thanks Jonathan!) When our requests finally became too disruptive to his main role, we sought the help of the IT experts at Balla Machree.

They came in to our office, completed a comprehensive assessment and quickly pointed us to areas where we were at risk. They made clear recommendations and then implemented those recommendations professionally and efficiently. They also helped us anticipate and plan for future growth ensuring that our systems are able to continue serving us as we grow.

Balla Machree’s IT Solutions and Monitoring Division offers a variety of services to provide value and support to small and medium-sized businesses. Often these companies are similar in that they simply haven’t had the time to develop their IT networks to keep pace with their own growth. Balla Machree’s services are especially beneficial to those who find themselves in this situation.

Full disclosure: Balla Machree has been a Compass Creative client since 2012, but we were right impressed this past year with the experience of being one of their clients. They were top-notch from start to finish. If reviewing and improving your IT is on your list of to-dos this year, or if it’s not but it should be, I recommend you give Gary Hutchinson at Balla Machree a call. Tell him I sent you. ☺
