An aggressive growth plan
When John Hutten reached out to us to help redesign his company’s brand and image, it was decided that Hutten Bobcat Services would be renamed Hutten & Co. When Mark and Ken Hutten took over from their parents — Hutten & Co. added shoreline restoration and dock services — they reached out to Compass to help them reach a new set of ambitious business goals.
Over the past five years we’ve developed a great working relationship with Hutten & Co. They looked to us to mature their brand, help plan a new approach to their marketing to increase revenue and attract new talent to their team.
Aligning the team
We worked together to clarify Hutten’s mission, vision and value statements.
Then we narrowed their focus by creating ideal customer profiles and crafted a brand story positioning Hutton as a guide — helping property owners in Bruce and Grey County shape their properties in ways that captivate, inspire and bring people closer to nature.

A fresh new look!
We crafted a clean and modern logo and paired it with fresh and attractive fonts, colours and additional graphics to create a stunning visual system that was inspired by the geography of Grey Bruce Counties. The new logo reflects the growth of the company and the stunning work they deliver. We helped roll out this new look across a range of corporate and marketing assets.
An inspiring library
We added professional video and photography to their growing list of assets, putting all those beautiful, completed projects where people can see them and be inspired.
By engaging in Customer Experience Mapping, Hutten & Co. developed a better understanding of their customer’s journey. This opened their eyes to customer pain points and provided opportunities to elevate their customer service and delight their clients at every step of the journey.

We worked with Hutten & Co. to create a recruitment campaign that positions them as a destination company, allowing them to attract top talent to their team. Despite the current labour shortage they continue to grow their company by hiring qualified applicants.
