When you work with Compass, you can be assured that any design work is performed by professionals who follow a strict set of processes and rules. We’ve always prided ourselves on our design work. But it’s nice to know that our design knowledge and experience now meet the national standards for graphic design set by the Association of Registered Graphic Designers.

We are excited to announce that key members of the Compass Creative design team are now fully certified Registered Graphic Designers (RGDs). This winter, Jason (Principal), Diego (Creative Director) and Nick (Art Director) underwent a thorough process to attain their professional designations. Teri (Jr. Designer) is now a Provisional RGD and Jeremy (Web Designer) is planning to work towards his designation later in 2019.

The certification process calls for applicants to meet specific requirements, with the minimum being a combined seven years of education and professional experience. After meeting these eligibility criteria, Jason, Diego and Nick presented their portfolios to a panel of judges. Then, each was tested on their knowledge of business ethics, research methodology, design principles and accessible design.

For the past 15 years, Compass has built a reputation for designing captivating brand identities, websites and marketing campaigns that accurately express the brands of our clients and help them connect with potential clients. Throughout this time, we've declared "beauty" as one of our core values and have worked hard to hold ourselves to a higher aesthetic standard. We also strive to follow the overall goal of design as a profession: To provide access to information and ideas through effective communications that engage the widest possible audience.

The RGD certification solidifies our commitment to outstanding design by allowing the Association of Graphic Designers to hold us to the same high standards as other top design firms in Canada.
